Sir Henry Osborne ManceKnight, 1875-1966
Brigadier-General Sir Henry Osborne Mance served as a subaltern in the Royal Engineers in the Boer War, as Director of Railways, Light Railways and Roads in the 1914-1918 War and as a communication expert in the British Delegation to the 1919-1920 Peace Conference.
He also served on several League of Nations committees and attended the major conventions dealing with transport problems in post-war Europe.
