Description

Employment of Jamaican Labourers on Railway in Ecuador: Encloses correspondence between Philip C Cork, Acting Colonial Secretary and Mr S S Wortley, Inspector of Labourers, regarding the condition and numbers of Jamaican labourers going to work on building railways in Ecuador; Precis of complaints by Jamaican Labourers against the company in charge of the building work including being beaten; Official report by Commissioner J V Leach on the condition of Jamaican Labourers including absconders being hunted by the Ecuadorian Army.
