Description

Reproductions on microfilm of documents not held by the Public Record Office. These are, with one exception ( PRO 28/7, which consists of paper prints) microfilms either presented or made while the original documents were temporarily housed in this department or obtained externally by purchase. They include copies of cheque books of the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace, 1672 to 1867, diplomatic documents in foreign repositories, records of the Royal Academy of Arts, 1768 to 1841, and messages between Churchill and Roosevelt, 1939 to 1945, in the Franklin D Roosevelt Library, New York.
