Description

This series contains records relating to the collection, analysis and publication of statistics concerning petroleum products, and includes material provided by oil companies.

The STATS/GEN and STATS/P file series were opened in the Budgets and Priorities Division but in 1954-1955, due to re-location of functions, were taken over by the Statistics Division which in more recent times was re-named the Statistics Branch.

The GEN series relates to the collection, analysis and publication of statistics collected by or provided for all branches of the Ministry. The P series is concerned with statistics about petroleum products and often contains statistical information provided by oil companies.
