This series consists of correspondence and papers dealing with all aspects of the Electricity Commissioners' functions in connection with the supply, transmission and distribution of electricity, and in 1936, (Electricity Supply (Meters) Act 1936), the re-organisation of meter testing arrangements. Some early Ministry of Transport Electricity Branch and Board of Trade Industrial Power and Transport Department papers, and a few later records of the Gas and Electricity Division of the Ministry of Fuel and Power, are included in this series.
