Australia, south coast: Victoria, Wilson's Promontory; Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania); Bass Strait. Explored by Matthew Flinders, 2nd Lieutenant of HMS Reliance. Shows coastline, hydrography, anchorages, tracks (of Colonial Schooner Francis in 1798, Sloop Norfolk in 1798-9 and the whale boats track by Mr G Bass, surgeon of HMS Reliance), topography, remarks (includes mention of Captains Cook and Furneaux, J H Cox, Mr Dalrymple and Mr J Hayes all whose work had been used to compile the chart) and compass rose. With annotation on reverse 'No. 123'. Published by A Arrowsmith on 16 June 1800. No Scale
