Description

Greenwich Hospital pensions awarded under an Order in Council of 16 February 1866 to commissioned and warrant officers of the Navy, field officers and captains of the Royal Marines and chief officers of the Coastguard. From 1875 the series also contains civil superannuation allowances to the staff of the Greenwich Hospital and School and of the Greenwich Hospital Estates, and, from 1892, the Travers pensions to retired naval officers.
