Folios 487-488. Letter to Joseph White [Treasury Solicitor] from William Chamberlayne [Treasury Solicitor] at Worcester Assizes relating the outcome of the trials before the Lord Chief Baron [Sir James Eyre] of Thomas Cooly (acquitted), Robert Cook (convicted), Mary Cox and William Rice (both acquitted), indicted for crimes committed in Worcestershire during the Birmingham riots. Although Rice had been acquitted of robbery, Chamberlayne had had him detained and transferred to Warwickshire, where there was a strong case against him.
