Folios 390-395. Letter from Joseph White [Treasury Solicitor] with enclosures. Enclosed is a letter of 2 August from [William Russell] at Birmingham [Warwickshire] forwarding depositions [wanting] against rioters Thomas Coley [or Cooly] and John Roden, and a copy of a notice published on 30 July by the Birmingham Dissenters offering a reward of £100 for the discovery of the author of the anonymous and inflammatory handbill circulated prior to the riots. Also enclosed is a letter to White from William Chamberlayne [Treasury Solicitor] stating what he knew of Russell and describing what had passed between them at Birmingham with regard to taking informations from witnesses.
