The School Governors' One-Stop Shop (SGOSS) is a government funded charity tasked with recruiting governors to governing bodies in England. It was launched in 1999 and is a Company Limited by Guarantee and is Registered as a Charity. SGOSS also receives support from business organisations. The SGOSS service is free to Local Authorities, volunteers, employers and schools. The Board of Trustees comprises representatives from various companies and the Department for Education (DfE).
