This series contains more than one link to the 'snapshots' of this website. For some websites, the URL may change periodically. Despite this change to the URL these websites are part of the same record series as they represent the department or organisation's presence on the web at the time. Occasionally, more than one domain URL to the same website may run in parallel creating an overlap.
'In Harmony' is a community development programme aimed at using music to bring positive change to the lives of very young children in some of the most deprived areas of England, delivering benefits across the wider community. 'In Harmony' is inspired by the hugely successful Venezuelan project El Sistema and is chaired by world renowned cellist, Julian Lloyd-Webber. The programme has been funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) after the DCSF invited tenders to run projects from individuals, community groups, local authorities, music organisations and consortiums in September 2008; 'In Harmony' was announced as the winning programme on 3 December 2008.
