This series consists of a selection of case files of the Liverpool District Registry which reflect the business of the Chancery Court.
The case files include cases dealing with wills and probate (contentious probate actions and inheritance), trusts and trustees (guardianship of minors' estates, disputes relating to trust property, variation and administration of trusts), land and property (landlord and tenant, mortgages, vendor and purchaser, squatters and trespassers), business, trade and industry (patents and registered designs, copyright, partnership, winding-up) and miscellaneous (debts, damages and accounts, solicitors, including orders to tax costs). The files contain affidavits, originating summonses, orders, depositions, schemes of arrangement, petitions, memoranda of appearance and notices of meetings.
