The records in this series are primarily administrative records maintained by the Prothonotary of the Palatinate Court of Common Pleas.
The main records are: imparlance or remembrance books, 1696-1875; appearance books, 1745-1875; rule books, 1733-1875; rules of reference, 1801-1873; writ books, 1712-1875; and bills of costs incurred by attorneys in each action, 1760-1848.
Apart from a remembrance roll and book of a Prothonotary, dated 1518, none of the records are earlier than the late 17th century in date.
