Letter about delivery of correspondence across the Atlantic. Colonel Fr [Francis] Nicholson to [William Legge] earl of Dartmouth [Secretary of State]: received your letter of 8 May two days ago upon my arrival. There is a gentleman of Cork city bound to Antegoa [Antigua], who is expected in town tomorrow. If I find he will take charge of your packet for Governor Douglas, I shall give it him as it will be difficult to find safe conveyance from Newfoundland. Very concerned how to get letter for M. Le Marquess Vaundrevill, [Philippe de Rigaud de Vaudreuil, Marquis de Vaudreuil] to Quebeck [Quebec]. Dated in Cork. f. 178
