Report of judges upon Dublin mayoral elections in response to a report of English attorney-general to committee of Irish privy council: mayor's power to nominate three candidates from whom aldermen were to choose his successor was not abrogated by Elizabethan bye-law although this has since been the practice. Maintains that mayor can hold office into the next year if not removed by successor: concludes that election of Dublin mayor ought to proceed according to city laws and customs. Endorsed as to be copied to [English] lord chancellor. Dated Dublin. ff. 92-95
