Address of house of lords to queen, delivered to Shrewsbury, 19 December 1713. Defend Sir Constantine Phipps, lord chancellor and their speaker, against calumnies cast upon him. Have examined claims by Richard Nuttall that, even whilst lord justice, he promoted all dissensions which have lately happened in Ireland. Praise him as governor, administrator of justice and true lover of established church, 'and a zealous assertor of the prerogative in opposition to a factious spirit which hath too much prevailed in this nation'.f62-63
