There are testimonials of good character from James Chisholm and Alexander Kinghorn both in Sydney New South Wales. There is also a letter by the prisoner to his parents written from New South Wales. Grounds for clemency: previous good character, trusted by employers, only 17 when committed crime, respectable honest family, other 7 children are law abiding, good conduct in New South Wales, fully repents crime since transported.
