1 individual petition (A Lawrence, the prisoner's mother) on behalf of William Lawrence convicted at the Old Bailey in January 1830 for stealing a coat and other items. Gaoler's report: not known before. Grounds for clemency: good and dutiful son, supported widowed mother and 5 other children could still help them if served sentence in this country, prosecutor convinced prisoner did not steal items. Initial sentence: 7 years transportation. Annotated: ordered to hulks, nil. NO 9
