1 item extracted from MT 6/367/17. Shropshire: Shrewsbury. 'Gt. W. & L. & N.W. Jt. Rys. [Great Western and London & North Western Joint Railways] Temporary Station &c. at Abbey Foregate Shrewsbury': plan and gradient diagram showing station and tracks adjacent to the Royal Agricultural Show ground. Key to points and related signal boxes. Scale: 1 inch to about 40 feet. Signed by [?]I Porthick and [?]Robert Johnston, Engineers' Office, Birkenhead, 22 May 1884. Stamped as drawing number 4026, received at the Board of Trade, 9 June 1884. Dimensions: (part 1) 72.5 cm x 131.5 cm; (part 2) 72.5 cm x 129.5 cm. Originally enclosed in a letter from J Grierson, Great Western Railway, to the Railway Department, Board of Trade, requesting permission to carry out the works, 6 June 1884.
