Samuel W WHITE, aliases Solomon WHITE, Solomon WAINSCHELBAUM, Samuel FERGUSON: Russian, Australian, British. A member of the Australian Communist Party in 1932 while a student in Australia, Sam WHITE was for many years the 'Evening Standard' correspondent in Paris. He claimed to have been expelled from the Party in 1934 but he retained contact with leading communists up to at least the 1950s
