Description
The data in this dataset was used by MAFF to produce a Published Statistical Material (PSM) Statement for the Agricultural and Horticultural Census which took place on 1 June 1995 in England and Wales. The dataset (and the PSM Statement) summarise the results of the Census for England and Wales and for English regions. Data relating to crops, farmers and workers, and livestock is also broken down by English and Welsh counties. The regions used are MAFF regions, while the"counties" do not necessarily correspond to the area of a single county council or other local authority. The dataset comprises two tables. Table psm95 covers: crops, farmers and workers, and livestock. Table hort95 relates to horticulture.
