Description

Lease to farm, in the form of a demise and grant, by Margaret Heyber of Newton, Yorkshire, widow, to her son Henry Somerscales of Glaisburn (?Glusburn), Yorkshire, gentleman, of all her ground, land, and farm in Newton in Craven, together with her title and claim to the same, for one year next following, for the payment of £40 at St Luke's day. Her son shall have no power or authority over her tenants in Newton during the term of this grant. Signed with Margaret's mark and witnessed by Nicholas Girlington, Robert Simpson, and Thomas Craven. 2 folios; signet seal
