Undated letter to Nicholas Girlington of Thurland Castle, Lancashire, from his attorney (William Stockdale), who marvels that he has not been in touch over the suit for the whole of Tiverton. He has also received no money to defray charges. Several hearings have not gone well since his opponents are pressing to have him imprisoned and his lands sequestrated. Mr Justice (Sir Richard) Hutton might take an interest if Girlington passes clear instructions. 2 folios.
