Description

Bill of discharge by Henry Wingfield [Wingfeld] of Calais, esquire, recording receipt from Henry Sharington, esquire, of £40 in part payment of a larger sum owed to him upon obligation by Sir William Sharington, knight, lately deceased. An acquittance signed and sealed by Sharington and Wingfield, acknowledges receipt by at the hands of one Hampton, merchant of the Calais Staple, by the appointment of Sir Thomas Chamberlain [Chambrelain], knight.

Signed: 'H Wyngfeld' with his wafer seal.
