PIN 24
1912-1951
This series contains selected records of two approved societies, the Ideal Benefit Society and the Tunbridge Wells Equitable Friendly Society.
The records include minutes of the societies and their committees, administrative files, membership cards, sick record cards and registers, and the contribution register.
The series also contains the Approved Societies Handbook for 1933 and a file on the allocation of national insurance numbers.
The records of the Tunbridge Wells Equitable Friendly Society also include a small amount of material from two small societies, the Horsmonden Society and the Kent Coal League Insurance Society, which amalgamated with it.
In March 2012 it was noticed that pieces on the online Catalogue had been incorrectly loaded, which had resulted in the reference numbers for PIN 24/60 onwards being out of sequence by one number (so the description for PIN 24/60 on the catalogue was actually the description for PIN 24/61, and so on). This has now been corrected.
