Description

Journal by Henry Slade for 29 April to 31 December 1864 containing a list of killed and detailed account of wounded treated on board HMS Miranda, belonging to the Naval Brigade under Sir William Wiseman Bart, Commodore, formed from Her Majesty’s Ships, Curacoa, Miranda, Esk, Harrier, Falcon and Eclipse, at the Pukehinahina – or Gate – Pah, Tauranga, New Zealand, April 29 1864. Assistant Surgeons attached to the Brigade, Mr. Robert Harding, HMS Miranda, Dr Norton Manning, HMS Esk. (Described at item level).
