Medical and surgical journal of HMS Spiteful for 21 August 1861 to 14 March 1863 by [?], during which time the said ship was employed in North America and the West Indies.

Folio 1: Thomas Watson, aged 36, captain of the forecastle; case number 1; disease or hurt, orchitis. Put on sick list, 19 August 1862 at Jamaica. Discharged 23 August 1862 to hospital.

Folio 1: James Macdonald, aged 27, quartermaster; case number 2; disease or hurt, orchitis. Put on sick list, [?]. Discharged 23 August 1862 to Jamaica Naval Hospital.

Folio 2: Thomas Ackford, aged 33, private Royal Marine; case number 3; disease or hurt, chronic diarrhoea. Put on sick list, [?]. Discharged 22 August 1862 invalided to Jamaica Hospital.
