Folios 1-3: case no. 1, Henry Wells, aged 21, Able Seaman belonged to HMS Vindictive; taken ill at Hong Kong; sick or hurt, concussio cerebri; put on sick list 27 August 1842, discharged 18 October 1842 cured.

Folios 3-5: case no. 2, William Moore, aged 32, Private Marine belonged to HMS Agincourt; taken ill on sentry in England; sick or hurt, bronchitis terminating in phthisis; put on sick list 27 September 1842, died 8 November 1842.

Folios 5-6: case no. 3, John Cook, aged 33, Private Marine; taken ill at Hong Kong; sick or hurt, dysenteria; put on sick list 5 December 1842, died 6 December 1842.

Folios 6-8: case no. 4, Henry Hitchins, aged 30, Private Marine; taken ill at Hong Kong; sick or hurt, hepatitis; put on sick list 11 November 1842, died 4 December 1842.

Folios 14-16: case no. 8, Mr. G. S. Roberts, aged 24, Assistant Surgeon belonged to HMS Serpent; taken ill at Amoy; sick or hurt, febris intermittent quotidien; put on sick list 14 January 1843, discharged 8 February 1843 cured.

Folio 16: case no. 9, Mr. W. Henry Barker, aged 15, Captain’s Clerk belonged to HMS Acbar; taken ill in Macao Roads; sick or hurt, variola; put on sick list 14 March 1843, discharged 24 March 1843 cured.
