Medical journal of His Majesty's Ship Swiftsure for 8 July 1798 to 9 July 1799 by James Dalziel, Surgeon, during which time the said ship was employed in different parts of the Mediterranean. (Described at item level).
The journal has individual entries recording treatment and symptoms but arranged as daily entries. The first entry for each case gives the man's name, age and capacity, the first day's treatment and also records his eventual date of discharge, subsequent folios may, however, record further daily details of treatment in his case. Only treatment and observations on cases are recorded.
