Description (What the record is about)
- The dataset contains details of Army and RAF courts martial and Standing Civilian Court (SCC) hearings between 6 January 2004 and 29 March 2007. The dataset also contains details of Custody and Summary Appeal Court hearings for the same period. From 1 January 2007 the Judge Advocate General of the Forces assumed responsibility for Royal Navy courts martial, and accordingly this dataset contains details of Navy courts martial tried between January and March 2007. The dataset contains 29 tables, the majority of which are lookup tables containing lists of, for example, Judge Advocates, court venues, offences, ranks, findings and sentences. Five tables contain detailed data relating to the court hearings. These are: CaseDetails, ChargeSheet, DefendantDetails, DirectionsHearing and SentenceDetails.
