Ravenser Odd was a short-lived island in the mouth of the River Humber. It rose from the sea in the early 13th century and had sunk beneath the waves by 1360.

This series consists of printed Ordnance Survey maps used to record local authority, parliamentary and parish boundaries and boundary changes. The boundary record was added in colour coded lines and washes, which were updated with each boundary change. Obsolete boundaries were cancelled, their colours being washed down to a faint trace, but still clearly indicated on the maps.

The series is arranged alphabetically in sub-series by county for England and Wales (OS 41/1-1974) and has a separate sub-series for Scotland (OS 41/1975-3068).
Dates shown in the catalogue are the dates of boundary changes.
Pieces with the prefix 'N' indicate a new series numbering on sheetlines which differ from the original. These new sheetlines were laid out so as to take account of the ground revision available.
