Description

This series consists of administrative and general papers, mostly from two file series: CR and SO. They cover a wide range of subjects, including the organisation of the Ordnance Survey and its work, departmental committees, staff pay and conditions, technical and scientific aspects of map production, copyright, footpaths and rights of way.

The series includes material which would otherwise be found amongst the Records of the Chief of the (Imperial) General Staff and its directorates (WO).
