Administrative / biographical background

The Training Department was merged with the Administrative Services Branch in 1967 to form a Development Administration and Training Department, which the following year moved to the Education Division. This department continued until 1973 when it was disbanded and its functions distributed to other departments in the Ministry. The Training Department was disbanded in 1972 and its work transferred to the British Council.
