Bulletins of Statistics and Economic Information were prepared by the National Savings Committee by arrangement with the Trustee Savings Bank Association and sent out to all Savings Banks monthly.
Standard features of the bulletin were an editorial comment, Trustee Savings Bank monthly figures, breakdown of national savings trends and a table of general statistics covering investment, wages, prices, production, employment and foreign trade. Later editions of the bulletin had in addition short articles on topical problems and more detailed breakdowns of statistics, designed to give savings workers a broad view of changes in the national economy, standards of living etc.
The bulletins were discontinued in April 1977, following the withdrawal of Civil Service staff from the voluntary National Savings Movement.
