Hildegarde (Hilde) Pauline Ruth NUNN MAY, aliases Hildegarde BRODA, Hildegarde GERWING, Dr FABER: British/formerly German and Austrian. Hildegarde ('Hilde') NUNN MAY, was the German-born wife of the atom spy, Alan NUNN MAY, whom she married shortly after his release from prison. She was previously the wife of NUNN MAY's one time scientific colleague, the Austrian Communist Engelbert BRODA. Hilde arrived in the UK as a refugee from Austria in 1938. She worked for many years as a School Medical Officer in Cambridge; and was heavily involved in the activities of the Communist controlled Austrian Centre and other Communist Front organisations in the UK
