Description

Transcript of grant of office by (1) Thomas Godwyn, bishop of Bath and Wells, to Thomas Emely, otherwise Emley, of Halmeden [Helmden], Northamptonshire.

Grant of the office of steward and under steward, clerk, writer and recorder of all franchises, etc, of the bishopric of Bath and Wells, for life, at 5 marks a year from the manor of Westbury, Somerset.

Confirmation by the dean and chapter of Wells, same date.
