Transcript of letters patent granting property in Somerset to William Herbert.
Grant [inter alia] of a grange called Barton nigh Bathe [Barton in Bath] in Lynscombe [Lyncombe in Lyncombe and Widcombe], Wydicombe [Widcombe in Lyncombe and Widcombe], Walcote [Walcot], and Barton, Somerset, and all demesne lands, etc, belonging thereto, (late of the monastery of Bathe [Bath Cathedral Priory], Somerset), and lands called Kingesmeade, le Hayes and Sapers adjoining, woods called Lypwelles Wood and Mydlewood, a close of pasture called Ambrye Orchard, a pasture called the land of the park, in Lyncombe and Widcombe, pasture and meadow called the Hampe, Wroggs Meade, Brode Croft, Longmeade and Ambrye Meade, demesne lands and the works of customary tenants of Walcot and Barton, parcel of the pasture of lez Launcedon, commons lez Slightes, pasture in Walcot and Barton for 360 sheep called the flock of Barton, pasture called lez Hayes, meadow called Syddenham Meade, Parkeland, Estdowne and Bewchincliffe, otherwise Bychincliffe [Beechen Cliff [in Lyncombe and Widcombe], pasture for 322 sheep called the Hoggs Flock.
