Transcript of letters patent granting property in Cheshire to William Smith.
Grant of all messuages, etc, in Cheshire, (late of Roger Woodhouse, which came to the king's hands by forfeiture), a red rose at the nativity of St John the Baptist [Jun 24], with all issues from 11 Aug 18 Hen VII [1503] to the present.
Note that the king bought these lands of Sir William Smith, kt, for £160, and that this letter patent was surrendered 2 May 7 Hen VIII [1515].
