Transcript of assignment by (1) John Allett, citizen and alderman of London, and mayor of the staple of England, to (2) Elizabeth I: of a bond.
By bond 19 Feb 25 Eliz [1583], Thomas Kett, of Wymondham, Norfolk, acknowledged before Sir Christopher Wray, kt, lord chief justice of England, bond to John Allett.
John Allett, by reason of his office of mayoralty of the staple, is indebted to the queen in various sums of money.
Since acknowledgement of the bond, a messuage in Wymondham and other lands, etc, (late parcel of the possessions of John Kett), were extended and delivered in execution to John Allett, by writ of liberate 31 Dec 26 Eliz [1583].
Assignment to the queen.
