Description

Transcript of a record of the Exchequer.

Found by transcript of an inquisition taken at Hindon, Wiltshire, before John Thynne, kt, and Robert Grove, esq, feodaries, Wiltshire, of land, etc., of Charles [Stourton], late lord Stourton, deceased, in rectification of an inquisition post mortem taken at Meere [Mere], Wiltshire, 23 Sep 4 & 5 Phil & Mary [1557].

Now, 18 Dec [14 Eliz - 1571], proceedings on inquisition in the court of the Exchequer. Transcript tested by William [Cecil], lord Burghley, treasurer.
