Transcript of assignment by (1) Thomas Aston, of Haveringeat Bower [Havering atte Bower], Essex, gent, to (2) George Utley: of property in Merton, Surrey.
By letters patent 26 Nov 11 Eliz [1567], after the end of the term of Robert Packington, sometime clerk of the household to Edward VI, by letters patent 1 Apr 4 Edw VI [1550], Elizabeth I leased 2 mills called Ameny Milles and the tenements belonging thereto, and a garden called Ameny Garden, in Marton [Merton], Surrey, (late of Shene [Sheen] Priory, Surrey,founded by Philip & Mary), to Robert Beaumont, of Westminster, gent, for 21 years, at £5 16s 8d a year.
This lease assigned to Francis Rutland, of Mytcham [Mitcham], Surrey, gent, deceased, and now in the possession of Thomas Aston, in the right of Mary, his wife, late the wife and executrix of Francis Rutland.
George Utley, citizen and draper of London, at Aston's request, with him bound to John Garrarde, citizen and alderman of London, £150, forpayment of £105, on 11 Nov next.
Assignment to George Utley, 9 May 37 Eliz, 1595. Followed by the above mentioned bond of the same date.
