Transcript of indenture of lease between (1) Henry VIII and (2) Richard Chapman of Bathe [Bath], Somerset, clothier: of property in Somerset.
Lease of the rectory of [Monkton] Combe, Somerset, and all tithes, etc; 2 dovecots in Weston [now in Bath], Somerset, and tithes of wool of 360 sheep called le Ewestock of Weston; pasturing in the fields of Barton [in Bath] and Walcote [Walcot], Somerset; the rectories of Widcombe and Lyncombe, Somerset, and all tithes, etc, an annual rent of 66s 8d from demesne lands of Lyncombe, 20s from tithes of wool of 222 sheep called le Hoggstock in Lyncombe, and pasturing in the fields of Lyncombe, (late of the monastery of Bath [Bath Cathedral Priory]), Somerset, for 21 years, at 40s, 13s 4d, 40s, and £10 6s 8d a year.
