16 Surrender by (1) John Bishoppe, late of Brailes, Warwickshire, gent, Roger Bishoppe, his son, and Helen Bishoppe, his daughter, to (2) Elizabeth I: of various rights in Brailes.
By letters patent under the Exchequer seal 21 Jul 29 Eliz [1587], a chamber and hall, (late of the guild of Brayles [Brailes]), converted to a school; 2 cottages; and an inn and garden in Brailes; leased to John Bishoppe, for 31 years, at 10s 8d, 8s, and 6s, a year.
Also in letters patent 18 Feb 25 Eliz [1583], for 21 years.
And in an indenture under the seal of the master and wardens of the guild of Brailes 6 Oct 29 Hen VIII [1537], 2 cottages and a toft.
3 seals. Signatures: John Bysshopp, Roger Bishopp, Elen Bishopp. Endorsement of enrolment on the dorse of the close roll 24 Jan 38 Eliz [1596], John Bailye.
