Description

Documents in this series constitute the bulk of those surviving from the records of the Ministry of Munitions, Disposal and Liquidation Commission, and Surplus Stores, etc., Liquidation Department. Included are papers from central registry and branch registry series, minutes of various committees, and papers of a number of senior administrators including those of Andrew Weir, Lord Inverforth, Surveyor General of Supplies at the War Office and later Minister of Munitions. Includes material on demobilisation and reconstruction.

Within the series the documents are arranged in the order they had when deposited. This order is largely alphabetical by titles of registry series and then, within these series, in select numerical order of registration. Documents received at a later date from the War Office, Ministry of Supply, and Ministry of Technology have been placed at the end of the series.
