Max BRAUN, aliases BROGLIE, Albert SIMON: German, naturalized French. A Social Democrat leader in the Saar, BRAUN provided intelligence to the French about German military dispositions at the beginning of the Second World War. He came to Britain in 1940 and later worked for the Political Intelligence Department of the Foreign Office
