Emile Vivian BURNS, Margaret Elinor BURNS: British. Emile BURNS joined the British Communist Party in 1920, served on its Executive Committee and was a leading apologist for the Party. Margaret BURNS joined the British Communist Party in 1923 and served it in a variety of official positions
