Description

9 Photographs showing air raid damaged to German cities.

1) 'Munchen-Gladbach - Rhevdt (30/31 August, 1934). Devastaion by fire south of Dahlener str in Rhevdt. At least six factories are seen to be gutted.' Size 20cm x 7cm.

2) 'Mannheim (5/6 September, 1943). Severe damage to dockside buildings, two of which are still burning, as seen on photograph taken on 9/9/43.' Size 20cm x 16cm.

3) 'Berlin. Severe damage by fire to part of the Siemens Halske AG in the west of Berlin after the recent raids. The large square building in the right of the photograph is the Electric Motor Works.' Size 20cm x 7cm.

4) A single photograph showing a two comparison shots. 'Berlin. Very severe damage to the Deutsche Gasgesellschaft AG works at Marledorf in the south of Berlin after the recent raids. In the left picture the two large wet-type gasholders are seen to be destroyed. The picture on the right shows the Gas works before these raids.' Size 22cm x 19cm.

5) ''Montlucon. (15th/16th September, 1943.). Of the 26 major buildings at this Dunlop tyre factory, 12 are destroyed, 10 very severely damaged and the remaining 4 damaged.' Size 15cm x 22cm.

6) 'Mannheim. (24th September, 1943). A part of the Old Town showing almost complete devastation resulting from the last two raids. Nearly every building is roofless and gutted and some fires are still burning.' Size 15cm x 22cm.

7) 'Mannheim. (24th September, 1943). Extensive damage by fire to Warehouses on the North side of River Neckar.' Size 15cm x 22cm.

8) 'Mannheim. (24th September, 1943). Portion of the Old Town and Neckar Stadt bordering the River Neckar showing fires still burning.' Size 15cm x 22cm.

9) 'Munich (6/7 September, 1943). The Market Hall south of the Sud Bahnhof very seriously damaged.' Size 15cm x 22cm.
