HW 43/69
1939 Sep 01 - 1945 Aug 01
Report on the Work of 3G(N) together with a Personal and Confidential minute from 3G(N) [clearly written by Professor Norman, head of this sub-section. The 'N' of the title probably stands for 'Norman']. 3G(N) was a sub-section of 3G of Hut 3, set up under Professor Norman to produce a Sigint contribution to the study of scientific aspects of the war in close cooperation with Dr R V Jones ADI (Science). Subjects studied included German radars, V1 flying bombs and V2 rockets
As the covering minute makes clear, the report was produced by Professor Norman in protest at the editorial exclusion of much of his contribution from the official history of Hut 3.
