KV 4/228
1945 Jan 01 - 1945 Dec 31
Report on the operations of F2C in connection with Russian Intelligence during the Second World War. This is a four page report on the wartime MI5 section responsible for coverage of Soviet intelligence activities in Britain. Matters briefly touched on include the Glading and Oliver Green cases and that of the Soviet defector, Krivitsky. A central point made is that the fact that the USSR was an ally caused the Foreign Office to lay down rigid rules restricting MI5 action against Soviet Intelligence to the barest minimum
