Robert William ROBSON: British. A senior member of the Communist Party of Great Britain, ROBSON was mostly concerned with organising and also possibly with undercover work. He was London District Organiser 1927-1933 and Head of the Organisation Dept in 1935. He played a leading role in the recruitment of Communists for the Spanish Civil War. In the 1940's he became very ill with TB. When his partner turned to the Church at about the same time, it was thought that he might be approachable for an interview, but this never took place
